Facilitating the transition to sustainable new energies
At Infinity Lithium our focus is to help facilitate energy transition through the development of our fully integrated lithium project, San José and the development of innovative, sustainable lithium processing techniques through our GreenTech business.
Located in the region of Extremadura in Spain, we are progressing our flagship Project with ambitions to develop Europe’s second largest hard rock Lithium deposit to the highest environmental credentials known for hard rock Lithium mining and processing.
The Regional Government of Extremadura has declared the San José Lithium Project a project of regional and general interest (PREMIA) as it will cornerstone an industry that will support major opportunities for the region into the future.
The Most Technically Advance Battery Grade Lithium Project in Europe
In February 2022, Infinity announced results from its test work at Dorfner Anazaplan in Germany which delivered battery grade lithium Hydroxide from feedstock from San José Valdeflorez.
This means that Infinity is the first in Europe to produce battery grade lithium chemicals and proves the efficacy of its innovative, environmentally sustainable process.
The San José Lithium Project has now evolved further with the completion of an updated scoping study incorporating an advanced flow sheet that has removed the need for natural gas in the process, makes use of steam generation to power downstream mechanical equipment and has improved recoveries to a point where production volumes have now increased to 33,000t per year of battery grade lithium hydroxide.
